Group 7 Contract

December 22, 2007

We all agreed to have our contract. Here it is:

  •  On every subject we are going to have a short discussion and decide things democratically (If someone in a group has more competence on a subject, his/her vote counts double.)
  • If not all members are participating in group work, they don’t get to affect the decision. If a member contacts others about his/her absence in advance, he/she gets to influence the decision, communicating online etc.
  • We work in evenings in case we arein a hurry to finish smth./we have no time at daytime/we are very inspired and eager and don’t count time.
  • Our schedule is flexible. We first work individually, brainstorming and then we are going to spend time on a project every day since we are back in Denmark. We are more concerned about the result than about the time we spend.
  • We meet at least 3-4 times a week untill year 2008, then it is going to be more often.  We also communicate a lot in skype, google talk, by phone.
  • Sometimes we work on weekends or generate new ideas while resting, etc.
  • A member should make his/her input as maximal as possible.
  • We don’t need an agenda for every meeting, but we agree aboutfew meetings in advance and have a flexible plan.
  • We agreed to express our opinion straight and without waiting so we could take actions immediately. About every concern we are going to have an open discussion with all group members.
  • If a good idea comes to someones mind we are going to share it with others and decide is it really good and what is the best way to implement it.

  1. There are some good points in your contract. The main reason for making a contract is to formalize the work in the group. So during the next couple of weeks, you should consider whether the contract helps your work or it doesn’t contribute at all.
