Yesterday we [Sandra, Luna, Lukas] met at school and made a content for our report, also devided pages for all our group members, including Simas. He is on his way to Denmark and is informed about our decisions on the project.

We also made rough sketches on the paper, how our prototype is going to look like. We have a deadline for report writing [until 11 january, friday] and then we all are going to start making the prototype and writing final parts of our report.

To Rikky:

Questionnaire for teachers

January 7, 2008

Accidentally our group realize that we(students) are not the only one who are using Intranet.

During our last meeting in Lithuania we decide to make a little questionnaire for teachers. In order to know their opinion about recent Intranet problems. We think it is good to involve teachers because they can in count different problems then students.

We have distribute questionnaire to all teachers we have contact with, and we hope they will answer promptly and sincerely.

I have found one web designer’s website where he gives guideline how to create a good web site.

This is quite useful information. Pay attention to the Personas, Scenarios, Site Architecture and so on..

I’ve written a small and quick analysis of the existing ATC site.

Let’s share brainstorm ideas what should be changed in this site.

I also recommend to go to google.com and find some information to read about good report writing, also about prototypes.

If any of you will find good and helpful links, please post them here.

Group 7 Contract

December 22, 2007

We all agreed to have our contract. Here it is:

  •  On every subject we are going to have a short discussion and decide things democratically (If someone in a group has more competence on a subject, his/her vote counts double.)
  • If not all members are participating in group work, they don’t get to affect the decision. If a member contacts others about his/her absence in advance, he/she gets to influence the decision, communicating online etc.
  • We work in evenings in case we arein a hurry to finish smth./we have no time at daytime/we are very inspired and eager and don’t count time.
  • Our schedule is flexible. We first work individually, brainstorming and then we are going to spend time on a project every day since we are back in Denmark. We are more concerned about the result than about the time we spend.
  • We meet at least 3-4 times a week untill year 2008, then it is going to be more often.  We also communicate a lot in skype, google talk, by phone.
  • Sometimes we work on weekends or generate new ideas while resting, etc.
  • A member should make his/her input as maximal as possible.
  • We don’t need an agenda for every meeting, but we agree aboutfew meetings in advance and have a flexible plan.
  • We agreed to express our opinion straight and without waiting so we could take actions immediately. About every concern we are going to have an open discussion with all group members.
  • If a good idea comes to someones mind we are going to share it with others and decide is it really good and what is the best way to implement it.

Today we all met in Kaunas, Lithuania to discuss everybody’s input on project. We agreed it is very important to us to make it very good. We agreed to work individually for a week, searching for information, reading texts, browsing, etc. We will be also putting down cons and pros for the schoolnet individually and then finished share our thoughts and ideas. We are going to work on a concept also. Basically the next week is for brainstorming individually - so we could later compare and use th best ideas or even unite them into couple of the best ones. We will be sharing the information and thoguhts we get on this blog, so you can follow the whole process.
